Therefore, I dont believe the pat down was legal due to Officer Smith not being completely sure of the facts and details about the vehicle stopped. condescension the fact that the female driver began to speed away preferably of following the officers orders, no information was given that stated that Officer Smith ran the license plates of the vehicle that he stopped. Officer Smith shouldve ran the license plate number and checked out the vehicle records to stay on the safe side.
