I chose to research the basics of the Islam Religion. The religion that has been at the head of the news, war, and social media interests me. I wanted to understand the religion that was introduced to me when both airplanes crashed into the World Trade Centers and changed the face of America as I knew it to be.
The first interesting factual impression of the religion of Islam to me was that it is the fast-breaking growing religion in the world today. Followers of the Muslim religion range from a total of 800 million to 1.5 jillion worldwide in the year of the 2,000s. This means that nearly unity out of every four people on estate is a Muslim. This Muslim population amazingly extends to forty countries on tierce continents. I learned that on that point are two major parts to Islam religion: the Sunnis, which make up some of the Muslim population. The Shiites comprise the rest. The Shia is a part of the religion which stony-broke off from the main body of Muslims in the 7th century, which they ejaculate their 1st century.
The division of the Muslim religion arose over a dispute that concerned the succession of attractorship after Mohammeds death. The irregular disagreement concerned the doctrine of Imam, for the Shiites. An imam is a divinely appointed leader that will guide the people.

The Sunnis believe that the Imam is just the leader of the Friday night prayer service and nothing more. The Shias believe there is a 12th Imam Al Mahdi, who is the Muslim messiah.
