In The Yellow Wallpaper, Charlotte Perkins Gilman demonstrates a lot of everyday statements about women rights and individuality. Gilman does so about having the storyteller tell the story in low gear person. The narrator is a young newly married mother, who is being cared for depression. At first she didnt think she had an illness until her husband brain washed her into thinking she did. He brained washed her by renting a summer mansion for her to recover and also for their house to be remodel. But when they arrived to the mansion, the narrator was told that she needs to relax and not do nothing not write or read by lav. Personally I disagree with their ideas, she writes. Personally, I believe that wel abide by work, with excitement and miscellanea, would do me good. But what is one to do? (160). John is the narrators husband, he is also a physician. In the Yellow wallpaper he plays a role as the doctor and the husband. He is not the best doctor to come across because he did the complete opposite of what he was speculate to do and that was to get the narrator better from her illness. He makes her worse than what she already was. She is confined to bed bide in a former nursery room and is forbidden from working or writing.



The room she was in the windows are striped, and there is a introduction across the top of the stairs, allowing her husband to control her access to the rest of the house. The large room has yellow wallpaper in twain places with a hideous pattern. The narrator dislikes the wallpaper, but John refuses to change rooms, arguing that the nursery is best-suited for her recovery. John forbids her from working, and she has to hide her journal from him, so she can recuperate from what he calls a temporary sick depression. The narrators condition has worsened. The story depicts the military group of confinement on the narrators mental health, and her descent into psychosis.
